“Mathra” a symbol of ceremonious tie among Varier Community achieved its true meaning on February 26th, 2012. Mathra 2012 organized by Varier Samjam under the leadership of its Ernakulam district committee was a first of its kind. A milestone event attended by 1600 plus community members from different parts of the world sounds its prominence. 500 plus bride/groom registrations helped the parents in searching a suitable bride/groom from the registered profiles.
The registered profiles of bride/groom were shown randomly on the projectors depicted in the hall. Interested profile numbers can be noted down and the same can be taken to the IT desk for checking the preliminary computer compatibility. The availability of Astrologers enabled the shortlisted profiles to be further analyzed to the satisfaction of the parents.
Once shortlisted the Mathra 2012 also provided a venue for meeting the interested profile persons who were available at the venue and for further discussions.
The profiles of boys and girls were collected and a data bank published into a book were handed to the registered members at the venue.
Excited by the success of Mathra 2012, the Varier Samajam again under the experienced leadership of Ernakulam District Committee set to launch MATHRA 2013 on 17th February, 2013 at Gauri Kalyana Mandapam, West Nada, Ernakulam Siva Temple.
Varier Samajam accepting the call of serving the society at large is spreading the umbrella of “MATHRA 2013” to all Ambalavasi Communities.
